NCUA Insurance Increase Extended through 2013
Late in 2008, legislation passed that increased your credit union deposit insurance through the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) from $100,000 to $250,000. While this increase was initially set to expire on December 31, 2009, more recent legislation was enacted that extends this increase in coverage until December 31, 2013.

Most federally insured credit unions, including Premier Credit Union, are insured by the NCUA through the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (NCUSIF). According to the NCUA, not one penny of insured savings has ever been lost by a member of a federally insured credit union. Skywalk Location Now Open

We are pleased to announce that our newest branch is now open on the Skywalk level of the Greater Des Moines Partnership building at 700 Locust. The Skywalk location's hours are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Thursday 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The new Skywalk location offers the same great products and personal service you have come to expect from Premier Credit Union with the convenience of Skywalk level access.

This expanded field of membership will enable your credit union to continue to grow and flourish. Our new community charter will create opportunities to offer the benefits of membership, that our existing members have come to enjoy, to many others in our community. This will allow the credit union to continue to offer new and innovative product lines, such as our recent additions of High Yield Checking, expanded Home Equity Loan/Line of Credit features, and the introduction of our in-house Mortgage team.

*Transfers will only be accepted from non-Premier Credit Union credit cards. Limit one gift card per member, while supplies last. A minimum balance transfer of $1500 is required for eligibility. All balance transfers are subject to final credit approval and must not exceed available credit. Finance charges will begin to accrue upon posting of the transfer to the Premier Credit Union MasterCard account. Eligible recipients will receive their gift card, via mail, once the balance transfer has been completed.
