Card Reactivation Scam - Fraudulent Calls to Cardholders
It has been brought to our attention that a number of area credit union cardholders have recently become the target of vishing attacks.
These attacks consist of an automated telephone call in which a prerecorded voice advises the recipient that the call is being made on behalf of SHAZAM and that the cardholder must "reactivate" their card by entering information immediately. These calls should be considered fraudulent and have not been authorized by SHAZAM.
Premier Credit Union would like to remind you never to give out your account number, expiration date, CVV2/CVC2, or any other personal information to anyone who initiates a call to you. If you suspect that you are a victim of vishing please contact card services immediately at (800) 234-5354.
