Private Student Loans

Premier Credit Union has partnered with Iowa Student Loan to offer a Private Student Loan program designed to help you cover the difference between your federal and state financial aid and the total cost of your tuition, room and board, and other expenses.

When you apply for a Premier Private Student Loan, you can be approved for a loan up to $10,000 per academic year, with a $30,000 total maximum.

Premier Credit Union's Private Student Loan program offers loans for students with or without prior credit history. Students with co-signers may be eligible for lower interest rates and better terms.

Before applying for your Premier Credit Union Private Student Loan, it is important to consider and apply for available federal and state aid including grants, scholarships and federal student loans. Accepting a private loan before utilizing other types of aid available may decrease your eligibility for federal and state aid. Contact the financial aid office at your college to find out what types of financial aid are available to you.

Premier Credit Union members can apply online for a private student loan. If you are not a member of Premier Credit Union, you will need to become a member to qualify for the loan program. Iowa Student Loan will handle the processing and approval of your Premier Private Loan application. Premier Credit Union will handle the processing of your membership application.
